FAQ
We can be reached at any time via phone, email or social media. But here are some answers to some commonly asked questions:
Should I wash my linen first before jumping into bed?
It isn’t necessary as it is already pre-washed on volcanic stones, however if it makes you feel better than go ahead. The more you wash it the softer it becomes.
Should I sleep with both a flat and fitted sheet?
That is totally up to you. Flat sheets are brilliant in summer as they are very breathable and light. Or in cooler months, they also add a pop colour to your duvet cover choice.
Should I tumble dry my linen?
We don’t recommend using a dryer - the best method is to line dry, out of direct sunlight. Once your linen is dry it’s best to fold it neatly and store it in a linen cupboard, ready for the next use.
How long will my linen bedding last for?
If you look after your bedding, they should last for years. Take note of our washing instructions in the linen care section.
What is the linen thread count?
Linen bedding is measured in weight rather than thread count and our linen is 170gsm - not too heavy, but just the right weight to keep you cool in summer and warm in winter.
Where is your flax (the plant from which our bedding is made) grown?
Our flax plants are grown in Normandy, France by farmers with whom we have a very close relationship with. They ensure no pesticides, harsh chemicals or irrigation is used during the growing cycle.
How long until my order arrives?
If your order is placed before 4pm, we’ll post them that day, or the following day via standard post. If you do wish to send via express, please select that option on checkout. Orders within Australia are sent via Shippit (courier system). Sydney metro zones can expect delivery within 2 days and all other areas between 3-5 business days. International shipping is an option, and can be selected on checkout. Please get in touch if any questions arise.
For pre-orders, we will clearly state on our website the predicted arrival date. You can always get in touch with us too on hello@carlottaandgee.com to confirm an arrival date.
What do pre-orders mean?
Certain colours sell out very fast. We try to always have everything stock, however if we don’t we’ll open up pre-orders. This means your order is taken and you are guaranteed that item as soon as our shipment arrives.
Do you offer other sizes besides queen and king?
We know not everyone has a king or queen bed, and so we now take orders for other sizes including single, king single, double or super king. If you’d like to order these bedding sizes, please select a colour you like and get in touch with us to confirm prices and arrival dates. We’ll try to suit your every need.
My order confirmation didn’t arrive!
Within minutes of ordering from us, you’ll receive an email confirmation. You’ll receive another as soon as your item has been sent via the post. If not, please check your junk folder or get in touch with us at hello@carlottaandgee.com
Which payment methods do you accept?
All main credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Afterpay (within Australia) and Pay-Pal
How much does shipping cost?
Australia - Within Australia we cover this cost for you (lucky you!)
International - Our flat fee for international delivery is $80AUD, however please get in touch with the exact items in your cart to gain a more accurate cost.
Something’s faulty - what can I do?
We do everything to make sure this doesn’t happen to you. However if for some reason it has, please contact hello@carlottaandgee.com and we will replace your item for a new one.
Can I get samples?
Yes we are very happy to send you colour swatches if you are finishing it difficult to look online - these are available on our website under swatches. Alternatively if you’re in Sydney, you are welcome to visit our showroom.
Do you offer private consultations to help us mix and match the colours?
Yes we love helping people choose their colour range. This can be done by us sending you photos, FaceTime, Zoom or attending our showroom in Sydney.
How sustainable are your sheets?
We work with one of the most sustainable products on the planet. Linen comes from the flax plant that grows in a natural way, without any pesticides or chemicals. No irrigation is required for its cultivation, unlike cotton which requires lots of precious water. Product is also sent with sustainable packaging to ensure we look after our planet.
Can I purchase gift vouchers?
Gift vouchers are very popular especially for wedding or birthday presents. Please select the amount you like on the website under ‘gift vouchers’ and we will send an email confirmation to pass onto the lucky person. They have 12 months to use it.
What is your refund or returns policy?
Please visit the shipping and returns policy section or email us at hello@carlottaandgee.com with any questions.
